Quivey's Grove

Quivey's Grove is a restaurant and event property on Nesbitt Road in Fitchburg, on Madison's southwest edge, built around an 1855 stone mansion and outbuildings constructed with stone traded from a neighboring quarry. Two dining operations run on site — the Stone House Restaurant and the more casual Stable Grill — and the Paddock, a seasonal outdoor dining and events area under a 30-by-75-foot tent, operates from late May through early October. Weddings run from 25 to 225 guests, with ceremony options in the front yard under a large birch, in a natural wildflower area beneath black walnuts, or indoors in the Stone House's Nursery room.

Event packages include an on-site coordinator and professional wait staff, with the restaurant kitchens handling food. The grounds — gardens, mature maples and walnuts, and 160-year-old buildings — supply the setting without rented decor. It fits outdoor weddings, anniversary dinners, rehearsal dinners, and group dinners that want historic Wisconsin character ten minutes from Madison.
