Salisbury House & Gardens is a historic house museum on Tonawanda Drive in Des Moines that doubles as a rental venue. Indoor events max out at 100 guests across rooms like the Common Room, where guests can be seated at a 19-foot English oak trestle table; the grounds comfortably hold up to 250 outdoors. Rentals are billed hourly, with a signed contract, 50 percent of the rental fee, and a $1,000 refundable damage deposit required to hold a date. Wi-Fi and electricity are available both indoors and out, and on-site event staff work every rental.

The house works with a preferred caterer list, though outside catering is allowed for an additional fee. Micro-weddings for up to 30 guests are a dedicated offering alongside full weddings, corporate retreats, showers, graduations, and anniversary parties. It is best for weddings and milestone celebrations that want a museum-quality historic setting rather than a blank banquet hall.
